What We Can Do For You

Vision Therapy

Amblyopia (Lazy Eye): A condition where one eye has reduced vision because it and the brain are not working together properly.

Strabismus (Crossed Eyes):A misalignment of the eyes where they do not look in the same direction at the same time.

Convergence Insufficiency:Difficulty in maintaining proper eye alignment for near tasks, leading to eye strain, double vision, and headaches.

Focusing ProblemsIssues with the eyes’ ability to maintain clear vision at different distances.

Eye Movement Disorders: Problems with the control of eye movements, affecting reading and other tasks that require precise eye coordination.

Visual Processing Disorders:Difficulties in interpreting and processing visual information, which can affect learning and daily activities.

Special Contact Lens

1. Scleral Lenses
Purpose: Primarily used for patients with irregular corneas (e.g., keratoconus) or severe dry eye syndrome.
Design: Larger than standard lenses, they vault over the cornea and rest on the sclera (the white part of the eye).
Benefits: Provide a smooth optical surface, improve comfort, and protect the cornea.

2. Toric Lenses
Purpose: Correct astigmatism, which is caused by an irregularly shaped cornea.
Design: Have different powers in different meridians of the lens to correct the uneven curvature of the cornea.
Benefits: Provide clearer vision for people with astigmatism.
3. Multifocal Lenses
Purpose: Correct presbyopia, a condition where the eye loses its ability to focus on close objects, typically due to aging.
Design: Have multiple zones with different powers for near, intermediate, and distance vision.
Benefits: Allow wearers to see clearly at various distances without needing reading glasses.

4. Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) Lenses
Purpose: Temporarily correct myopia (nearsightedness) by reshaping the cornea overnight.
Design: Rigid gas permeable lenses worn during sleep.
Benefits: Provide clear vision during the day without the need for glasses or contact lenses.

custom-made ocular prosthesis

A custom-made ocular prosthesis, also known as a prosthetic eye or artificial eye, is a medical device designed to replace a missing or damaged natural eye. It is typically used for individuals who have lost an eye due to injury, disease, or congenital conditions. The prosthesis is custom-made to match the size, shape, and color of the remaining natural eye, providing a natural appearance and improving the patient’s confidence and quality of life.

Key Features of a Custom-Made Ocular Prosthesis:

Customization: Each prosthesis is uniquely crafted to match the patient’s remaining eye, including the iris color, sclera (white part of the eye), and even the blood vessel patterns.

Material: Most modern ocular prostheses are made from medical-grade acrylic or glass. Acrylic is more commonly used due to its durability and ease of adjustment.

Fit and Comfort: The prosthesis is designed to fit comfortably within the eye socket, allowing for natural movement and minimal irritation.

Aesthetic Appearance: The goal is to create a lifelike appearance that blends seamlessly with the patient’s facial features.
